Scope and content

Account of Benj[amin] Hoadly, bishop of Bangor. This account appears to be a draft version of the account published by Browne Willis in his book A Survey of the Cathedral Church of Bangor (London, 1721), p. 119. The second-part of this account, however, does not appear in the published text, and consists of comments on the non-residence of the bishops and cathedral clergy of Llandaff, and on the state of the fabric of that cathedral, by way of illustration of Bangor's good fortune in having Welshmen preferred to the see since the reformation.
