Letters and papers from the library of Ellis William Jones of Plasteg, Bala, largely relating to agricultural co-operation in Wales, and with particular reference to the Welsh Agricultural Organisation Society Limited, Stapleton-Cotton House Limited, etc. Among them are addresses and notes; a notebok containing the names and postal addresses of officers and committee members of agricultural co-operative societies in Wales; letters from J. Nugent Harris, secretary to the Agricultural Society, 1909, Charles O. Hughes, Menai Bridge, 1925, George Florance Irby, 6th baron Boston, 1925, and R. Parry, Bangor, secretary to the Stapleton-Cotton House Ltd, 1925, with some typescript and draft replies; typescript copies of testimonials to E. W. Jones from Lord Boston, Major-General A. E. Also notes, newspaper cuttings and source material used by Daniel Parry-Jones for his books and articles on the following subjects: Wales and the Welsh Language, Agriculture and the Countryside, Dialect and Agricultural Terms, History and Legends of Monmouthshire, Children's Games, Food and Diet, and Church and Clergy.

A contemporary, [?1917], manuscript translation into English of a circular letter, in Welsh, dated 5 March 1917, from David Lloyd George, 10 Downing Street, urging Welsh farmers to do all in their power to aid the war effort.
The letter was circulated (and published) in both English and Welsh versions (see NLW ex 1824 and NLW MS 9982E, f. 124, respectively). The present manuscript appears to be an entirely independent translation of the Welsh version as shown by the use of 'Welsh Farmers' in the final paragraph, translating the Welsh 'Amaethwyr Cymru', where the original English version reads 'The farmers of this country'.

Diaries and journals of tours in North and South Wales kept by Walter Davies at various times from 1797 to 1822, and containing references to agriculture and other industries.

Lleufer Thomas relating to the Welsh Housing & Development Association Yearbook, 1924; a letter from the National Museum of Wales to the National Library of Wales, 1955, enclosing the material as a donation from John Rees's widow, and a copy of the acknowledgement letter from the Library to Mrs Rees, 1955.
