Articles Of Agreement prior to an intended marriage between 1 (b) and Barbara Hughes, daughter of 2, whereby 1 agree to convey all m's and lands in t's Christioneth Kenrick, Ruabon, and Dynynlle Ucha, to trustees (named) to the following uses: a capital m. called Pen y Bryn, a m. purchased by 1 (a) from John Davies late of Wrexham, co. Denb., gent., dec., and a m. called Bryn Adda, purchased from Evan Lloyd, carpenter, dec., in t. Christioneth Kenrick; a m. in tenure of John Griffith, butcher, and a m. in tenure of John Phillips, yeoman, in t. Ruabon; 5 m's in the several tenures of Katherine Daniel and Margaret Griffiths, widows, Peter Simon, labourer, Edward Williams, labourer, William Jones, collier, Richard Humffreys, collier, a smithy in tenure of Robert Evans, smith, in t. Dynynlley Ucha, all in p. Ruabon, co. Denb., to the use of 1 (b) with remainder to the heirs of 1 (b) and Barbara, subject to the payment of an annuity of £50 to Barbara, and an annuity of £20 to 1 (a) and £5 to Martha Jones, wife of 1 (a). Covenants relating to the payment of marriage portion of £600 and the repayment of £300 if Barbara dies without issue within 3 years of the marriage.
