Scope and content
1 John Lloyd of London, gent., and Katherine his wife. 2 William Francklyn, citizen and salter of London. 3 Stephen Jackson of the same, merchant, Henry Harwell, citizen and haberdasher of the same, and Thomas Kynaston, citizen and draper of the same. Assignment of £1,153.6.8 by 2, at the request of 1, to 3, in trust for the said Katherine for life and thereafter for her sons by her said husband, Paul Lloyd and Peter Lloyd (further uses specified). Recits DG232, that £46.13.4 part of the £1,200 (specified in DG232) has been disposed of by 1 for their own use, that 2 and Arthur Kynaston his co-trustee, now dec., lent £500 (8%) on mortgage of three water mills in t. Old Ruyton, p. Ruyton, to Thomas Kynaston of Ruyton, gent., on 16 May 1640, and that the £653.6.8 so remaining have been invested in the public funds, that 2 have exhibited a bill of complaint in Chancery praying for the trusts to be transferred since one of the trustees is dead and 2 is 'going forth' in the service of the state, which the court so ordered on 25 May 1644.
