Administrative history
The English Cause was formally established at 6 Australia Terrace in 1902, although English services had previously been held at Garth Welsh Chapel since August of the same year. The first Sunday School was held a fortnight later. By the end of 1902 the landlord of the cottage refused to let the property for religious services which were subsequently held in the parlour of another private house, Brynmelyn. This remained the place of worship until Trevor Presbyterian Church opened in March 1904.
