Administrative history
In 1921 land was gifted to the Forward Movement of the Presbyterian Church of Wales by the Llay Main Colliery Company in order to erect a place of worship. In November of the same year a workman's hut was purchased where services and a Sunday School were held during the following months. Trinity Church officially opened its doors on 23 November 1922. Welsh services and a separate Welsh Sunday School were held at the Trinity Schoolroom prior to the opening of Glanaber in 1925.
By the late 1960s, however, due to a declining membership, it was decided that the congregations of both Forward Movement Churches, namely Trinity and Glanaber, would worship in Glanaber. Trinity Church was sold in 1969.
