Cychwynnwyd achos Eglwys Gynulleidfaol Bethesda, Tywyn, sir Feirionnydd, yn y flwyddyn 1804. Ar ddiwedd y 19eg ganrif, adeiladwyd capel newydd, a gynlluniwyd gan T.E.Morgan, Aberystwyth, Ceredigion. Yn gynnar yn yr ugeinfed ganrif, adeiladodd yr eglwys fans yn ogystal, ar gyfer y gweinidog.
