Information relating to a book launch event at the Dylan Thomas Centre, Swansea, at which Women in Jazz performed. The book in question was titled Fragments from the Dark: Women Writing Home and Self in Wales and the event was organised by Swansea Bay Asylum Seekers Support Group and Swansea Women's Asylum Support Group, with all proceeds distributed to refugee charities.

Swansea Asylum Seekers Support is a volunteer-led registered charity established in 1999 by local people who included refugees. A twice-weekly drop-in facility was set up in 2001 which offers practical support together with educational and recreational opportunities.
Nodiadau
Established in 2006, Swansea Women's Asylum and Refugee Support Group is run by and for asylum seekers and refugees with the support of a British Chair and primarily seeks to promote social and civic engagement in local events and projects through collaboration and networking. The group maintains a close relationship with Swansea's National Waterfront Museum (see National Waterfront Museum), where they generally meet.
