Original bundle of deeds relating to the Edwards family of Whitfield in the parish of Peterstow, Herefordshire, including a covenant by William Edwards of Whitfield, yeoman, to levy a fine in the court of the manor of Wilton upon Wye to William Phellpotts of the Olde Mill in the parish of Goodrich, yeoman, and John Phellpotts one of his sons, of all the messuages and lands of William Edwards and Thomas Edwards, the said William Edwards's father and grandfather, both dec., to lead the uses of a common recovery, 1636; a conveyance of a close of arable land called Kae Mawr or Kae Carreg (2 a. or 6 covers) in the parish of Llanfihangel-y-fedw, Monmouthshire, 1706/7; the pre-nuptial settlement of John Edwards of Whitfield, gent., and Elizabeth Holder of Huntleys in the parish of Much Marcle, spinster, 1758; a lease of a farm called Dafferluke in the parishes of Hentland, Pitstow and Bridstow, Herefordshire, 1774; and a lease of the capital messuage and farm called Whitfield and other messuages and lands (described) in the parishes of Peterstow, Marstow, Bridstow, Hentland and Goodrich, all Herefordshire, 1786.
