Scope and content
A volume in the hand of Ieuan Fardd containing transcripts from the White Book of Hergest (pp. 83-113), 'the Book of Gildas at Margam Abbey', and the Extent of Powysland (temp. Richard II) (pp. 69-72). The volume also contains a poem by Guto'r Glyn dedicated to Sir Roger Kynaston which was translated into English by William Maurice in 1672 (pp. 25-44); a list of those who bear arms in Wales, arranged alphabetically with a brief description of the arms after each name (p. 45); and a copy of an indenture, 2 April 13 Eliz., between Robert Earl of Leicester and Ieuan ap Lewis Lloyd (p. 73); etc.
The 'Dream of Maxen' (pp. 1-24) appears to have been copied directly from Peniarth MS 16.
