Papers of Sir David Rowe-Beddoe, later Baron Rowe-Beddoe of Kilgetty, businessman and life peer who was a crossbench member of the House of Lords from 2006 until his death in 2023. His numerous public roles included being chairman of the Welsh Development Agency from 1993 to 2001, appointed chairman of the Wales Millennium Centre in 2001 and made a Life President in 2010, chairman of the Representative Body of The Church in Wales from 2002 to 2012, appointed president of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2004 having previously been a governor and chairman of the board (1993-2004).

Peter Thomas, Lord Thomas of Gwydir (1920-2008), was the first Conservative Secretary of State for Wales (1970-1974) and the first Welshman to become Chairman of the Conservative Party (1970-1972). Born in Llanrwst, where his father was a solicitor, he read Law at Jesus College, Oxford. After the war, where he served in the RAF and spent four years as a prisoner of war, he continued with his studies and became a barrister, and was called to the Bar at the Middle Temple in 1947; took Silk in 1965. He was elected as the Member of Parliament for Conway between 1951 and 1966 and for Hendon South between 1970 and 1987. After retiring from the House of Commons at the 1987 General Election, The Right Honourable Peter John Mitchell Thomas, QC, was created Baron Thomas of Gwydir, of Llanrwst in the County of Gwynedd.

Papers of former Welsh Labour & Co-operative politician Don Touhig, Baron Touhig, comprising material relating to his political career both before and after his 1995 Islwyn by-election victory, and including campaign publicity; speech notes; parliamentary reports; diaries; and correspondence.

The collection comprises mainly leaflets, correspondence and papers, 1924-1966, relating to Labour politics in the Brecon and Radnor constituency. There are also papers concerning the Labour Party in Wales, 1928-1952; the Parliament for Wales campaign, 1950-1956; Tudor Watkins's visits to Russia in 1961 and to Patagonia in 1965; papers concerning Tudor Watkins's elevation to the House of Lords in 1972; and material deriving from the Brecon and Radnor by-election in 1939.

Papers of Lord Ystwyth, 1895-1920, including Cardiganshire Liberal Association minutes of meetings, accounts, bills and receipts, and correspondence of Lord Ystwyth, 1907-1921; papers relating to the establishment and activities of the Cardiganshire Battery, 2nd Welsh Brigade, Royal Field Artillery, 1897-1913; and tickets of admission to events in Aberystwyth, 1898-1904.

Papers of the Breton nationalist Louis Feutren (1922-2009), together with papers of two fellow nationalists accumulated by him, Neven Henaff (Célestin Lainé, 1908-1983), and Alan Heusaff (1921-1999). All three were prominent members of the Breton collaborationist force 'Bezen Perrot' formed in December 1943, and all three eventually fled to Ireland sometime after the Second World War. Some of the papers relate to the activities of 'Bezen Perrot', but most are later personal papers.
