A file containing seven signed and witnessed surrenders, etc., all for surrenders at the Castle Gate of Monmouth. They appear to have formed at one time a part of Nos 1,693 and 1,695. In six items the marginal heading is 'Manor of Monmouth with members' and, in the seventh and last dated, 'Manor of Monmouth and Hadnock'. Henry Milborne of Lanrothell, esq., with Charles Milborne, esq., and John Price of Trerw, gent., as his deputies, and John Price of Trerw appear as chief stewards within the parishes indicated above. The lands are described as in the parishes of Rochfield, Monmouth, Llangattock vibon Avel, and Dixton, and in the town of Monmouth. 7 Items, all on paper, margins slightly mutilated but legible throughout.
