Deeds and related papers relating to the Gelligadrog estate, 1866-1926 and 1954, comprising (in 1872) Gelligadrog (160a.), Caegwyllt (48a.) and Gwndwnmawr (59a.), all in p. Llangyndeyrn, co. Carm. In 1914 the estate comprised Gelligadrog, Glastonbury, Caegwyllt, Gwndwnmawr, Caelawrence or Sandfield, and Drysgyrch Factory, all in p. Llangyndeyn. In 1926 Colonel Edward Crawford Lloyd Fitzwilliams contracted to buy Gelligadrog (116a.) and Drysgyrch Factory (11a.). -- The deeds include conveyances, mortgages, declarations, and covenants for the production of deeds, 1866-1926, including the conveyance in 1923 of Laswern (32a.), then part of Gelligadrog. The conveyance and the mortgage of 1872 both include a plan of Gelligadrog, Caegwyllt and Gwndwnmawr, the 1872 covenant for the production of deeds lists deeds dated 1790-1871, and the schedule to the 1873 mortgage names the individual fields on the three farms. The 1914 covenant for the production of deeds includes a schedule of deeds of Gelligadrog, 1866-1898, Glastonbury, 1818-1881, Parkhall estate in the borough of Carmarthen, 1786-1880, and Gellywen in the parish of St Clears, 1870-1904. Also includes a wayleave agreement with the South Wales Electricity Board for low-voltage lines at Bryndioddef-isaf and Pen-walk, 1954. -- The papers include abstracts of title, requisitions on title (one enclosing three death certificates), schedules of deeds, letters and land searches, 1871-1926.
