Administrative history
The Glanamman Lodge (Llandeilo District) of the Philanthropic Order of True Ivorites, St David's Unity, Friendly Society, Ammanford, Carmarthenshire, was founded in 1840 as part of the only exclusively Welsh working men's self-help movement. The Order provided for members in financial difficulty, including those sick, unemployed or widowed; benefits, including burial expenses, were paid from weekly premiums collected from the members. The movement was dissolved in 1959.

The archive was formerly in the possession of Mr T. Gwyn Jones, Swansea, Glamorgan.
