History
The Welsh Army Corps was formed in 1914. It was responsible for its own recruitment, billeting, supplies and training, overseen by a National Executive Committee. The Corps was disbanded in 1925. Owen William Owen was secretary to the National Executive Committee, and he prepared a final report on the history of the Corps, on their behalf, in 1921. He later worked in the Ministry of Labour (Wales), retiring in 1928. He had previously undertaken gold prospecting in South Africa in the 1890s.
