Devises his realty in p's Llanavan-vawr, Llysdinam, Llanwrthwl, Llanvihangel Bryn Pabean, Maesmynis, and Llanthewyr Cwm, co. Brec., except m's called Ddolederwyn, p. Llanavon Vawr and Park, p. Llanvihangel Brynpabean, Cefen Pawl and Llwyn Gwyn, p. Llanvechan [Llanafan fechan], also Cwm Shepherd, co. Rad., to the Rev. John Eckley of Credenhill, Herefordshire, clerk, and Hugh Vaughan of Llwyn Madock, co. Rad., esq., as trustees, to sell or mortgage, and to pay £3,000 each to Mrs Thomas and Mrs Mundell, testator's sisters, as directed under their father's will; also to pay £19,000 borrowed from Walter Wilkins; also to pay £10,000 to testator's daughter, Anne Howells Gwynne; remainder, after the payment of debts, to be in trust for his son, Marmaduke Gwynne, till he is 21 years old. Charges land called Llwynpeod and Tyn y fosse and meadows held with Llwynpeod called the Gamlais, p. Llanvechan, co. Brec., with any debt not settled by charging the first property. Devises the Manor Castle and the residue of his realty to his wife Eliza, Anne Gwynne, for life, subject to specified conditions, fully described, and then to testator's heirs, and, in default, to his daughter, Anne Howells Gwynne, and her heirs. Bequeathes £200 to his relation, Miss Mary Williams. Devises his dwelling house called Llanelwedd Hall, with land, furniture, and household goods, to his wife's use. The residue of his personalty is bequeathed to his wife and trustees, to be converted into money to pay debts. Power for trustees to lease or demise (not exceeding 7 years) the latter property, and to sell off timber to pay debts. Appoints wife as guardian of children and executrix, and trustees as executors. Codicil (dated 15 Jan. 1819) whereby testator revokes appointment of trustees and appoints Thomas Price of the Strand in Builth, esq., and John Gwynne of Gwernvale House, esq., in their place. Directs that Cwm Shepherd is not to be sold. Revokes provisons for his wife and directs her to release all the property to trustees, who are to pay her an annuity of £300. Trustees to provide for the education of testator's son, Marmaduke Gwynne. Appoints trustees guardians of his children, and executors. Directs trustees to settle his realty to the use of his son for life, remainder to his heirs, remainder to testator's daughter, Anne Howel Gwynne, remainder to her heirs, remainder to his rightful heirs.
