They include documents relating to proposed improvements to cottages, 1937-1938, and the restoration of Trewern Hall, 1983-1988; farm and household accounts, with miscellaneous financial papers and vouchers, 1952-1986; correspondence and papers concerning agricultural improvements and grant applications, 1977-1985; correspondence concerning the tenancy of Plas Newydd, Trewern, 1982-1984; personal and family papers, 1949-1984, relating to William Herbert Chapman (1955-1982) and to Murray Lloyd Chapman, including the latter's research notes and papers, on the history of Trewern and Montgomeryshire families and his work in civil engineering, 1973-1986. Plans of the estate and proposed improvements to the farm buildings accompanied some of the papers. Papers relating to Phase 2 Restoration of Trewern Hall, 1990-1993; were received, including a diary of events in two volumes; papers relating to Ivor William Lloyd Chapman and Margaret Eleanor Chapman; and Gregory-Allen papers. A collection of manuscripts from the library of Edward Humphrey Owen, including pedigrees, wills and transcripts relating to North Wales; a poor rate assessment book, 1788; seventeenth and nineteenth century surveys of Caernarvonshire; material on ancient British history; the libretto of a comic opera dated [c. 1790]; collections of Welsh poetry; eighteenth century interludes; an account book of Peter Bailey Williams (1763-1836), 1815-1817; letters, 1887-1888, to Edward Humphrey Jones; an account of the National Eisteddfod held at Caernarfon, 1821; and other items.

Deeds, documents and correspondence, 1685-1947, relating to the Tyglyn estate in Cardiganshire together with rentals of the estate, 1803-1862; letters relating to the New Quay Harbour Company, 1846-1850; letters relating to land belonging to Alban T. Davies required in connection with the extension of the Welsh Midland Railway from Carmarthen to Cardigan, 1845-1846; and papers reflecting the military careers of Lt. Col. William Wilson and his son-in-law Captain Alban Thomas Davies of Tyglyn, 1800-1848.
