Rhan oPeniarth Estate Records,
Rhan oUniversity College of Wales, Aberystwyth, Old Students' Association Records,
Rhan oBute Estate Records,
This class is the agent's copy of the annual settled account signed by Lord Bute. In later years, however, the estate and the agent's copies appear to have become mixed - or at least less distiction was made between the two - as some of the booklets listed below are signed by the auditor and some by the agent, while some are signed by both, and one is a duplicate endorsed 'Not to be signed'. The post-1842 accounts are for the Cardiff District only. Post-1842 settled accounts for the Glamorgan Estate will be found in class A7. Each volume runs from 1 Aug. to 31 July.
Rhan oCilgwyn Estate Records,
Arranged into Cilgwyn estate accounts, 1843-1871 (Aa), Paddington / Hall Park estate accounts, 1876-1932 (Ab), and Strathleven estate accounts, 1880-1892 (Ac).
Accounts, cash books and ledgers. Arranged into Picton Castle estate, 1879-1971 (AA), Slebech estate, 1919-1951 (AB), and Tregyb estate, 1918-1974 (AC).
The group comprises miscellaneous notebooks, newspaper cuttings and seals, 1862-1979.
Rhan oH. Francis Jones Papers
The group comprises material accumulated by HFJ for the use of his lectures, articles and research. It includes notes on the Welsh gypsies, 1933-1946, papers of antiquarian interest, 1894-1944, and material relating to the Welsh Colony in Patagonia, 1862-1938.
Miscellaneous papers, 1681, 1759-1994, acquired by Mari Ellis (and in a few cases by T. I. Ellis).
Orders of services presumably accumulated by the Bishop of Bangor, 1920-1977.
The unit consists of small printed items, mainly of ephemeral interest, and press cuttings, primarily of political interest, some relating to D. Lloyd George.
Accumulated material, 1963-2008, comprising mainly libretti and various scripts which were apparently not set to music; and typescript copies of plays and volumes of poetry. The manuscript of a carol dedicated to the composer and his wife is included.
