Presentments, views of frankpledge, accounts of bailiffs, returns of coroners, petitions and admissions of burgesses, petty offences, bonds to keep peace, court leet. (Interesting documents with a great deal of social history. The accounts of Richard Whittingham, bailiff, 1689 includes expenditure on 'powther and Candles at the troublesome tyme', to the prince's messenger, "powther at the proclamation", mending the stocks, the "Dlose Gate" and timber, money given to a guide for "Capten Parsens and his souldiers to Clynne" (Clun), drink at the bonfire, stacking "Gorst" and beating the drum at the coronation, carriage of wine from "Salop"). Approximately 81 ffolios.
