'The case of John Kynaston Powell, of Hardwick, in the county of Salop, esq; lineal heir of Edward Kynaston, of Hordley, in the county aforesaid ... next cousin in blood and heir of Edward the last Lord Powys: stating his descent, and shewing his right to the barony of Powes, from John de Cherleton, and other lords of Powes' (printed, 1800). Includes a manuscript appendix, stating the evidence of the facts set forth in this case according to the references, 'copied from Powis Castle copy'. Inscribed 'Purchased at Mr Courthope, Lancaster Herald's sale'. [William Courthope was Somerset Herald, 1854-1866, but was never Lancaster Herald]. Presented to the Powysland Museum Library by M. C. Jones, 1876. Outsize volume.
