In the year 1575 the Netherlands needed help to face the Spaniards. The Burgomaster has a plan to cut the dykes and drown the Spaniards, but need permission from Prince Orange. Oliver Tregaye, new recruit, offers to carry the letter because he believes he has latecomer’s luck. He successfully delivers the letter to Prince Orange, however upon returning her is caught by the Spaniards.

Mr Joshua Suggs runs a china shop he calls The Imperial Hardward Emporium. It is market day in Crocksbury, and a bull breaks loose and runs into the shop. As onlookers debate to whom the animal belongs, the bull cause chaos in the shop as it chases the red headed shop owner.

Heroes of Wales have also been heroes of peace, and these include St David, Hywel Dda, Dafydd ap Gwilym, Owain Glyndwr, Samuel Roberts, Gwilym Hiraethog, Tregellis Price. Focus on Henry Richard the Apostle of Peace, whose work began in 1848. A Goodwill message is set out to the world, and replies are received from France, Germany, Australia, Canada, South Africa, Italy, America, Spain, with other countries given an honourable mention.

When the clock strikes 13 o’clock, all inanimate objects come alive. The Shepherd and Shepherdess dust themselves off and have a dance. The Dutch Doll seeks out her love, the Dutch Boy Doll who is still in the shop where she purchased. The tin soldiers begin parading, and slowly awakes is the nodding china Mandarin doll who can only say ‘yes.’

An historic play detailing the events leading to the Battle of Ethandune. Danish King Guthrum has forced King Alfred into hiding. He is found by Earl Cedric offered shelter for the night by Danewulf. Alfred and Cedric disguise themselves and infiltrate Guthrum’s camp to learn their strengths and weaknesses. The play ends with Lady Elfrida giving her version of events as unbeknownst to the Alfred and Cedric, she was a prisoner in the camp at the time.

There is a story about the Summer Queen to refuses to retire her throne to the Winter King, and another where clouds can become dresses. There is a poem about the Gunpowder Plot, and a song about the garden. The story of Corin and Corisand is shared, a Shepheard and a lady in a miniature picture frame.

Set in Cardiff Port. An older sailor tells a younger sailor stories of what he has seen in Cardiff Port over his life time. Bute East Dock was opened in 1855. He saw soldiers going off to many wars: Crimean war, Indian Mutiny, Boer War and the Great War. He recalls the importance of the railway to the port. He has experienced ‘pirates’ on the Storm King, and sighted a ‘submarine’ when on board the Hannah Jane in 1915. He saw the Terra Nova sail away in 1910. The two men then discuss other heroics that go unsung.
