Towards the end of the volume there are short texts such as englynion in Latin, 'llyma gas bethav Owain Kyveiliog', 'xxiiij gwell', 'Geirie gwir Taliesin', triads, proverbs, the nine grades of kinship, medical recipes, 'Llyma henwau y pedair Caingc ar ddeg Cydwgan a Cyhelyn', and 'Henwau'r pedwar Gosdeg Cerdd dannau'. The greater part of the manuscript was written in the seventeenth century; but there are additions and marginal notes to the nineteenth century. There is an index ('Tabl y llyfr') to ff. 1--76, in a seventeenth century hand. Between ff. 4 and 6 are inserted two leaves (pp. 129-30, 135-6) of David Jones (Trefriw) (ed.): Cydymaith Diddan (Caer Lleon [1766]).

A volume of 'englynion' and a few 'cywydd' couplets in the hand of David Jones, Trefriw ('Dewi Fardd a 'sgrifenodd y Mydrlyfr hwn'). Llyvyr Jams Dwnn,

A manuscript containing poetry by Siâms Dwnn, Huw Arwystli, Gruffydd Phylip, Dafydd Nanmor, Dafydd ap Gwilym, Guto'r Glyn and others Pp. 1-498 are in the hand of Siâms Dwnn (see p. 457); pp. 499-521 are in the hand of 'Tho: P.' [Thomas Prys]; and pp. 521, ll. 10-542 are in a hand resembling that of Siôn Cain. At p. 238 some lines are given in fragments only, the scribe's original being imperfect. Prophecies, including those attributed to Merlin and Taliesin, are listed on pp. 507-520. At p. 521 is a copy of a letter from Thomas Prys to his 'cosin Lewis Evans'.

A manuscript collection of prose and verse in the hand of an amanuensis of Dr John Davies, Mallwyd. The volume comprises 'Ystori Peredur fab Efrawg', with five missing folios at the beginning supplied by John Jones ('Tegid'); 'Achau'r Kwrwf'; Caerwys Eisteddfod roll, May 26, 9 Elizabeth [1567]; triads; recipes; 'Tlysau Ynys Brydain'; 'Araith Wgan'; an extensive selection of 'cywyddau' and 'awdlau', mainly 'cywyddau merched', by Bedo Aeddren, Bedo Brwynllys, Dafydd ab Edmwnd, Dafydd ap Gwilym, Dafydd Nanmor, Gruffudd Gryg, Gruffudd Hiraethog, Guto'r Glyn, Gutun Owain, Iolo Goch, Lewis Glyn Cothi, Rhisiart Phylip, Sion Cent, Sion Phylip, Simwnt Fychan, Tudur Aled and others; a collection of eulogies offered to Dr John Davies, Mallwyd, some of the poems having the date of composition recorded and including poems by Huw Machno, Sion Cain, Rhisiart, Gruffudd, Siôn and William Phylip and others; and miscellanea in various hands, including 'englynion marwnad Sion Dafis Athro parchedig mewn devinyddiaeth [Dr John Davies, Mallwyd]' by 'Rowland Vaughan esgwier o Gaergai' (1644), 'penillion gwr ifanc i'w gariad' (1688), 'moliant Sion Foulkes, Llanymowthwy', by Huw Morus (1674), 'moliant . . . maer Dinas Mowthwy' by Richard Lloyd, a fragment of 'Achau y Cwrw a'i hanes', an account of mizes paid (1646-1647), notes on Latin grammar, recipes, pedigrees, and a fragment of an interlude ('Argolws and Symoniax').

Poetry, apocryphal gospels, &c.,

A manuscript containing poetry (pp. 5-18, 42-162), the poets cited including Iolo Goch, Dafydd ap Gwilym, Guto'r Glyn, Siôn Cent and Iorwerth Fynglwyd; apocryphal gospels (pp. 21-31); 'y Discibl ar Athro', which includes a brief summary of the Elucidarium (pp. 32-35); &c.
The manuscript is in several hands, with a few later additions to the text. Pp. 5-15 l. 6, 77-99 l. 9, 115-122, 131-136, 161-162 are in the same hand. The manuscript is sewn into a piece of old parchment dated 1647. Poetic marginalia occur at pp. 13, 77, 81, 82, 83, 85, 87, 93, 97, 103, 131, 146, 151. The work beginning at p. 108 is in the autograph of Rhys Cain or that of his son, Siôn Cain. The work beginning at p. 112 is apparently in the autograph of Siôn Clywedog (cf. an autograph englyn by Siôn Clywedog in the margin of p. 127). The work beginning at p. 144 appears to be in the autograph of Lewys Dwnn - cf. a note in the same hand relating to the work beginning at p. 139.

'Talm o hen-gerdd i Foelyrch',

A composite volume of collections of Welsh poetry and prose made about 1635. The title is derived from the third section which contains a number of poems to members of the Wynn family of Moelyrch in Llansilin. Amongst the poets represented are Hywel Cilan, Tudur Aled, Rhys Cain, Gruffudd Hiraethog, Sion Cain, Guto'r Glyn, Edmwnd Prys, Lewis Glyn Cothi, Iolo Goch, Cynddelw Brydydd Mawr, Iorwerth Fynglwyd, Taliesin, Dafydd ap Gwilym, Dafydd Nanmor and Wiliam Cynwal. Miscellaneous material in the volume includes a copy of an award relating to Moelyrch, 1540; a fragment of a letter by Charles I; the pedigrees of Oliver Cromwell, Holland and Morris, and Kyffin of Bodfach; a roll of the Caerwys Eisteddfod, 1567; an extract from 'Breuddwyd Rhonabwy'; a list of the sheriffs of Denbighshire from 1541 to 1635, with additions to 1658; a copy of documents relating to the treaty of alliance concluded between Charles VI of France and Owain Glyndŵr; extracts from the epigrams of John Owen; and extracts from scripture.
