Archival history
During the early years of the eighteenth century it came into the possession of Owen Gruffydd (ca. 1643-1730), Llanystumdwy, who has included a number of his own compositions in both strict and free metres. Later it became the property of William Elias (1708-87), Plas-y-glyn, Llanfwrog, Anglesey, and it contains several rubber stamp impressions of the name of Thomas Elias, Llanrwst.
