A tune book, 1810s-1820s, containing psalm-tunes, anthems and hymn-tunes attributed to various Welsh composers including John Williams, Dolgellau (passim), David Harries, Carno (passim), Hugh Jones, Maesglasau (passim) and others, probably compiled by Thomas Richards (?the younger; his calligraphic signature, 1817, inside front cover). Some items are in the hand of his brother, Lewis Richards (1799-1860) and many annotations in that of his sister, Mair Richards, Darowen. Accompanying words, where present, are in Welsh.

A miscellaneous collection of hymn-tunes, anthems and a few traditional and popular tunes from Wales and elsewhere, perhaps compiled in the mid-nineteenth century and comprising various quires, bifolia and single sheets in a number of hands of the first half of the century, and bearing watermarks between 1817 (ff. 10, 24) and 1845 (f. 93). It includes works attributed to John Williams (f. 13), David Harries, Carno (ff. 14-16, 25 recto-verso, 28 verso-30, 55 verso-8, 62-6 verso) and David Richards ('Dewi Silin') (ff. 17-19 verso, inverted text). Accompanying words, where present, are mainly in Welsh. Also included are memoranda and verse in Welsh (ff. 26 verso-8) and a few annotations by Mair Richards, Darowen (f. 16a).

Tune book, compiled 1812-1821 (watermark 1810), containing psalm tunes, music for a funeral anthem (ff. 4 verso-6), and hymn-tunes, noted in the hands of Edward Maesgwynne [?p. Llanboidy, Carmarthenshire], 1812 (f. 3), John Phillips, 1820 (f. 22) and Richard Jones Phillips, 1821 (f. 6). The volume belonged to John Phillips of Penrallt kibier [Pen yr Allt Ceibwr, p. St Dogmael's, Pembrokeshire] (inside rear cover). Two tunes - Pleasant Morning and New Durham - are accompanied by Welsh words (ff. 6 verso-8).
The source of one tune is noted as 'David Morgan's Book 1820' (f. 3 verso), and the authorship of two tunes - Abergeleu and Wonderful - is ascribed to the same individual, 1820 (ff. 16 verso, 18 verso, 19 verso). David Morgan may possibly be identified as Dafydd Siencyn Morgan (1752-1844), the Cardiganshire precentor and composer.

A tune book of Griffith Williams, Griolen, Llanuwchllyn, containing songs, hymn-tunes, and anthems. Eight of the compositions are attributed, seven to J. D. Jones, Ruthin, and one to E. S. Jones. Two of the compositions are written to words by Samuel Roberts ('S. R.'), Llanbryn-mair, and one to words by (Lewis (or Llewelyn?) Edwards] 'Llewelyn Twrog'.

Also included are notes on runic characters (p. 128), and pasted inside the covers are a printed announcement, 1814, of the second annual meeting of the Merionethshire Auxiliary Bible Society, and a printed note, 1822, from Robert Saunderson, Cambrian Printing Office, Bala, of a proposal to publish extracts from Y Gwyliedydd, under the title Cyfaill y Cymro.

Many of the tunes were copied, 1817-1825, by the Reverend Lewis Richards (1799-1860) (ff. 9-14, 47, 49, 53, 78, 87, 93, 99, 116, 126), and one tune was copied, 1819, by the Reverend John Jenkins ('Ifor Ceri', 1770-1829) (f. 119).
