Carmarthenshire landlord's account book
An account book kept, c. 1681-1696, by a [? Carmarthenshire] landlord (possibly Thomas Lloyd, Alltycadno (d. by 1721)) to record financial and farming transactions, including rents due and paid to him, rates and other dues paid, wages of servants, purchases and sales of livestock, etc.

A home-made volume, roughly bound in parchment, containing transcripts of hymns and some sermon notes in the hand of David Thomas, Llwynywermwd, Llan-y-crwys, son of the Reverend Zacharias Thomas, Baptist minister, of Aberdyar, etc. The volume was compiled during the period 1805-1806. Among the papers used to compile the manuscript are an agreement, 1790, for the lease, from W. Williams to Zacharias Thomas, of Emlych, parish of Penbrey, co. Carmarthen; a voucher, 1797, to Zacharias Thomas from D. J. Jenkins, Lampeter, for a waistcoat, etc.; and a holograph letter from John Williams, Carmarthen, to Zech. Thomas, 1802 ( the distribution of 'papers' to the Association and the churches). The volume also includes the score of a hymn-tune entitled 'Difyrwch gwyr y Gogledd'.
