Estate administration papers,

Administrative records of the Brogyntyn estates, mainly in North Wales and Shropshire, [1380s]-1951. They relate to Clenennau, Glyn, Sylfaen and Ystumcegid in Caernarfonshire and Merionethshire, 1530-1902; Nant in Flintshire, [1380s]-1685; Brogyntyn (Porkington) in Shropshire and Llanddyn in Denbighshire, 1634-1951; Lea Hall and Brymbo in Shropshire and Denbighshire, 1586-1750; Abertanat, Cemais and Penrhos, mainly in Montgomeryshire, 1653-[c. 1949]; the Irish estates, 1775-1887, and miscellaneous estates, 1590-1938. The group includes rentals, accounts, leases, and other estate administration papers including those relating to property, exploitation of resources, livestock, staff appointments, enclosures and other improvements, surveys and valuations, and letters relating directly to estate management.

The Snowdonia National Park

The file consists of a notebook containing a personal account of a journey through North Wales undertaken in September 1963, beginning at Llyn Mair and Rhyd, and ending with Coed y Rhygen, describing scenery, geology, botanical habitats, birds, plants, natural and man-made features of the landscape, and suggestions for photographs, and a few, unrelated notes on Llangrannog and Cwmtudu. The material served as the basis for his The Snowdonia National Park published in 1966.

A volume compiled, 1798-[1808], by Henry J. Hughes, Llanbeblig, containing precedents of declarations, pleas, and other legal documents, together with cases and opinions and notes on replevin.
The precedents relate mainly to cases in Anglesey, Caernarfonshire and Merionethshire, [18 cent., second ¼]-[late 18 cent.]. The contents are listed on pp. iv-ix. An agreement to build a drain, 1829, is loose at the end of the volume (pp. 323-324).
