Deeds and documents, mainly relating to premises in the parish of Llangelynnin, Merionethshire, and to properties in the town of Barmouth, Merionethshire, 1731-1893.

A collection which includes poetry, correspondence, notebooks and miscellaneous papers.

The archive comprises almost entirely of title deeds relating to the Orielton estate in Pembrokeshire, and to a lesser extent in Angelsey and Caernarfonshire, 1466-1875.

The fonds comprises case papers, 1903-1973, dealing with interested parties within Wales and/or the London area who had some sort of Welsh connection. Included are papers dealing with land and property transfer, receivership and company liquidation, defamation and compensation, opposition to parliamentary bills, the settlement of personal estate, contempt of court and general legal matters. Not all of the issues addressed in the files actually resulted in court cases. The majority of the files consist of legal papers such as instructions and notes to counsel, briefs to counsel, opinions of counsel, affidavits, statements, declarations, summonses, claims and orders, often in draft form or as official copies, and solicitors' charges and bills. These are usually accompanied by correspondence made up of original letters and copy letters, both office copies and carbon copies, as well as handwritten notes and occasional telegrams, bills and receipts. Frequently, the files also contain associated documents such as copies of leases, agreements and deeds, plans and maps, accounts, reports and transcriptions of evidence, together with relevant printed material such as sale particulars, parliamentary bills and published reports.

Diaries, 1967-2005, of Sir Glanmor Williams, reflecting his personal and professional work, including political observations and remarks on contemporary affairs.

Records, 1883-98, relating mainly to a case of alleged breach of contract between the Rhondda and Swansea Bay Railway Company and William Jones of Neath, building contractor. They include the records of the Rhondda and Swansea Bay Railway Company, 1878-1894, mainly financial; account books of William Jones of Neath, one of the contractors involved in building the Rhondda tunnel, 1884-1898, and papers relating to the breach of contract, 1884-1896, brought by William Jones against the company.

Deeds and papers relating to lands of the Hopkin family and others in the parish of Betws, Carmarthenshire, 1594-1748; papers relating to the Hopkin family, 1719-1898; and a poor rate account for the parish of Betws, 1818.

Personal and professional papers of Dr William Thomas, 1911-1981, including a diary of his time as a prisoner of war in Germany, 1914-1915; letters relating to his contributions on radio and television, 1916-1974; papers relating to his blind son Ian, 1924-1964; papers relating to his son William, 1937-1944; valuations of stock and farm accounts, 1952-1973; and testimonials, 1911-1922, and papers of his sister-in-law Magdalen Morgan, [1920]-1970, including lecture notes and scripts of plays in which she performed.

Letters from Breton cultural and religious leader Jean-Marie (Yann-Vari) Perrot, donated with other papers by Dr Geraint Dyfnallt Owen in 1979, have been incorporated in this group (NLW MS 23322D).

A collection of manuscripts from the library of Baldwyn Lloyd Roberts, Penybontfawr, including poetry in the hand of Thomas Williems, otherwise Thomas ap William, of Trefriw; sermons; medical recipes and prescriptions; commonplace books; a book of sheep ear-marks; addresses and poetry by Robert Parry ('Robin Ddu Eryri'); a volume of music and a tune-book; copies of printed works; and transcripts and miscellanea.

Manuscripts and papers of Isaac Davies, Birkenhead comprising minute books, 1896-1900, of the committee of 'Eisteddfod Gwŷr Ieuangc Birkenhead'; prize-winning competition entries submitted to the Birkenhead National Eisteddfod of 1878; nine volumes of minute books, 1927-1929, relating to the National Eisteddfod held at Liverpool in 1929; and correspondence, subscription lists and statistics, 1929-1930, relating to the Sir Owen M. Edwards Memorial Fund.

Correspondence, 1795-1856, consisting of several hundred letters to Henry Williams Wynn and his wife Hester mostly from family members, together with letters, 1818-1821, between Henry and Hester Williams Wynn and letters, 1803-1850, from Henry Williams Wynn to his brother Charles.

Foulkes-Roberts, [c. 1882]-[1941], containing extracts from parish registers, mainly from Denbighshire and Flintshire; transcripts of tombstone inscriptions and church memorials, copies of probate records from the Dioceses of Bangor and St Asaph, and the Principal Probate Registry; and notes and extracts from marriage licence bonds, clergy subscription books and other St Asaph diocesan records. The copies were made by A. Foulkes-Roberts and his brother R.D. Roberts.
