Accounts Of Mountain Ascents,

Descriptive narratives of Leonard Brown's mountain ascents including a retrospective account of his first ascent of Cader Idris, starting with the journey to Wales, descriptions of the towns, his surprise at the usage of the Welsh language and his feelings during his stay. Many other mountain walks are also described by him, including walks in Wales and beyond. This is a good place to start if looking for Leonard Brown's Welsh interest and his passion for mountain walking. All these accounts seem to be recalled accounts put down on paper in later life. These, unlike the diaries, were obviously written with an audience in mind.
