They will miss his guidance within the Labour Group, above all his ability to state a case. Realises that reaching this decision must have been 'a terrific mental battle' for Huw T. Edwards. Everything has changed so much since the time of the ILP and the old Labour movement in the days of the writer's youth. Is proud to think that it was a Labour government which was responsible for attempting to conquer the scourge of unemployment. But he does regret that capitalism seems to have been strengthened rather than weakened.
