Talks and addresses,

Manuscripts and typescript copies, including drafts and preparatory notes, [1954x2000], of talks and addresses by Kyffin Williams. Most are undated and untitled, and mainly discuss themes relating to art including his own work and experiences as an artist. Some scripts could possibly be drafts of articles. Included is a typescript copy of his address delivered at the Annual General Meeting of the North Wales Association for the Arts, 1972; and drafts of the lecture, ['A Painter in Gwynedd'], given to the Honourable Society of Cymmrodorion, 5 May 1988, and published in the Society's Transactions, 1988. Notes on Vincent van Gogh are partially written on the reverse of a script of an interview between John Ormond, Kyffin Williams and Jack Jones. A limerick and biro sketch are included on the back of a Terston notepad amongst the miscellaneous preparatory notes.

Patagonia visit,

Papers, 1967-1969, mainly comprising travel documents and correspondence, relating to Kyffin Williams's visit to Patagonia. Also included are typescript notes relating to Patagonia, [?1961x1962], belonging to John Ormond and used by him in preparation for his visit to the region to film 'The desert and the dream' (1962). These notes, which include an annotated script of the film, appear to have been given to Kyffin Williams, together with a holograph poem by John Ormond, 'Instruction to settlers', 1967, prior to his trip. In addition, the file includes a copy of the journal Argentina, vol. 4, no. 4 (April 1963), which contains an article entitled 'The desert and the dream'; a list of contacts in Patagonia, [1968], prepared by Valmai Jones in readiness for Kyffin Williams's visit; typescript questions and answers prepared before, or possibly at the beginning of, his visit; and a catalogue of the 'Photographs of Patagonia' exhibition at Oriel Môn, 1982, with photocopies of drawings contained in an album. The file also contains a photocopy of the book Tan tro nesaf by Gareth Alban Davies (Llandysul, 1976), which includes the titles of pictures by Kyffin Williams to be inserted in the work.

Texts of Glyn Jones broadcasts,

Scripts of seven radio broadcasts, 1950-1966, by Glyn Jones, or programmes in which he participated. Some contain manuscript amendments in his hand. Also included is a copy of 'Letter from Tuscany', 1986, by John Ormond, presented by the author to Glyn Jones in 1988. It appears that a number of scripts were given to Meic Stephens in 1988, and two letters from him to Robin Reeves, 1996, are attached to a copy of 'An interview between Rhys Davies and Glyn Jones', 1950.

Retrospective exhibition,

Papers, 1985-1987, relating to a retrospective exhibition of Kyffin Williams's work, 1987, mainly comprising lists of items selected for the exhibition and correspondence. Also included are corrected typescripts of an introduction by John Ormond, and a holograph stanza (englyn) by James Nicholas, dated 9 May 1986, both of which were published in the exhibition catalogue.
