A small notebook probably in the autograph of the Reverend Hugh Pugh (1803-68), Mostyn inscribed '"Tarian Rhyddyd" &c. Novr. 1838' and containing minutes, November 1838 - July 1839, and a list of co-proprietors in connection with Tarian Rhyddid, a Dymchwelydd Gormes, a monthly publication, the first number of which appeared in January 1839. The 'Reverend H. Pugh' is named as secretary and the Reverend W[illia]m Rees as editor. At the reverse end of the volume are some sermon notes.

A small notebook intended as a collecting book for a testimonial to the Reverend William Rees ('Gwilym Hiraethog'), Liverpool containing a printed letter relating to the testimonial inside the cover but no collection entries in the book, which was subsequently used for copying texts suitable for marriage services.

A typescript copy of an essay on the Reverend William Rees ('Gwilym Hiraethog'), Congregational minister, author, and political leader, entitled 'Cyfraniad y Parch. William Rees ('Gwilym Hiraethog') i Fywyd a Llên ei Gyfnod'. The work was submitted for competition at the National Eisteddfod of Wales held at Bangor, 1931, ? by D. E. Jenkins, under the pseudonym 'Mabon Egwad'. The text is followed by a list of the Reverend William Rees's publications, a bibliography, and a list of ten appendices, all of which, except No. 10 (consisting of a lengthy extract from Cymru, cyf. IV, tt. 313-14, in which some of the characteristics of Rees's style of preaching are analysed), are missing from the present copy.

Many are replies to invitations to preach at Engedi Calvinistic Methodist church, Colwyn Bay, or to preside at local eisteddfodau but also included are two letters (ff. 14, 19) concerning the injuries sustained by Elias Hughes during the tithe disturbance near Mochdre in 1887 (see Report of an inquiry as to disturbances connected with the levying of tithe rent-charge in Wales (1887), p. 102).
