A volume in the hand of Ieuan Fardd containing transcripts from the White Book of Hergest (pp. 83-113), 'the Book of Gildas at Margam Abbey', and the Extent of Powysland (temp. Richard II) (pp. 69-72). The volume also contains a poem by Guto'r Glyn dedicated to Sir Roger Kynaston which was translated into English by William Maurice in 1672 (pp. 25-44); a list of those who bear arms in Wales, arranged alphabetically with a brief description of the arms after each name (p. 45); and a copy of an indenture, 2 April 13 Eliz., between Robert Earl of Leicester and Ieuan ap Lewis Lloyd (p. 73); etc.
The 'Dream of Maxen' (pp. 1-24) appears to have been copied directly from Peniarth MS 16.

Transcripts of The Coppie of a letter written by a maister of artes in Cambridge; to his frinde in London concerninge some talke passed of late betweene two wor[shipfu]l and graue men aboute the present estate and some proceedinges of the Earle of Leicester and his frindes in England ... 1592 [France, 1584] (also known as Leycesters Commonwealth and attributed to Thomas Morgan (1543- c. 1605), one of the leaves preceeding the title is lettered 'De reprivata et publica R:c:l: ...'); An advertisment written to a Secretarie of my Lord Treasurour of England by an English Intelligencer, as he passed thorowgh Germanie into Italie, concerninge another booke newlie written in lattine, & published in divers languages agt. her Maties. late proclamacon for search and apprehencion of Seminary Priests and their Receavers. Also of a Letter written by the Lorde Treasurour in defence of his gentrie & Nobilitie, intercepted, published, & answeared by the Papists, 1592; A declaration of the trewe Causes of the greate troubles presupposed to be intended against the Realme of England ... [?Cologne or Brussels], 1592; and Observations vpon a Libill intituled: The declaracons of the Causes of troubles presupposed to be against England, 1592. The spine is lettered 'Political Affairs in England 1592'.

A volume of transcripts containing a collection of speeches by Sir Nicholas Bacon, Lord Keeper of the Great Seal, delivered in Parliament, the Guildhall, the Privy Council, and the Courts of Star Chamber and Exchequer, 1557/8-1571 and undated; a prayer by Sir Nicholas Bacon; a collection of poems entitled 'The Recreatyons of his Age'; letters from Sir Nicholas Bacon to Queen Elizabeth, William Cecil, baron Burleigh, Robert Dudley, 1st earl of Leicester, the Privy Council, and Sir Francis Walsingham, 1564-1578 and undated; and an undated letter from Queen Elizabeth to Sir Amyas Powlett. At the end of the volume is a free-metre verse in Welsh in an eighteenth century hand.
