The file comprises scripts of three broadcasts concerning David Jones and his work: a review of an exhibition of his paintings in Edinburgh, 21 November 1954; a review of The Anathemata, 19 December 1952; and a talks feature entitled 'David Jones', compiled and introduced by Goronwy Rees and with contributions by T. S. Eliot, Saunders Lewis, Nicolette Gray and Gwyn Williams, 29 Oct. 1954, produced by Aneirin Talfan (two copies of the script, one corrected by David Jones).

Pencil sketches of incidental music, possibly for a television drama entitled 'Blodeuwedd' by Saunders Lewis; and a photocopy of a corrected script of 'Blodeuwedd'.

Nomination papers, publicity material, correspondence and statements of election expenses relating to the bitter by-election for the University constituency between Alun Talfan Davies, Evan Davies, Neville Lawrence, W. J. Gruffydd, and Saunders Lewis in January 1943 caused by the appointment of the sitting member, Ernest Evans, as a county court judge.

Twenty six letters, 1922-1937, from D. J. Williams, Fishguard, to Flora Forster. They relate mainly to their personal relationship, but also contain references to his imprisonment, 1937 (ff. 48-9), George M. Ll. Davies (ff. 29 verso-30, 41), the 1922 parliamentary election (ff. 1-3), Saunders Lewis (f. 14 verso), and Welsh nationalism (ff. 45-8).

Autograph drafts or texts of prose pieces, 1945-1970s, of miscellaneous provenance, by twentieth-century writers, mostly published. They include short stories: 'Tedi' by Harri Pritchard Jones, 'Cyfri Bysedd' by Marged Pritchard, and 'Yr Wylan Deg' by Kate Roberts; and two addresses, 'Y Broses Greadigol' and 'Saunders Lewis' by John Gwilym Jones, both published in 'Y Traethodydd'.

A letter, dated 10-11 July 1967, from the artist and writer David Jones, Harrow, to the novelist [Anthony] Powell, mainly discussing Welsh genealogy and history. Jones also refers to the anniversary of his involvement in the battle of Mametz Wood, 10-11 July 1916, the subject of part 7 of his poem In Parenthesis (London, 1937) (f. 16 verso).
The letter contains references to the recent 'David Jones Special Issue' of Agenda, 5.1-3 (Spring-Summer 1967), Powell's television producer and director son Tristram, with whom Jones was acquainted, Kenneth Jackson, Saunders Lewis, and Jones's knowledge of Welsh (all f. 16), and the Eliseg Pillar inscription (f. 16 recto-verso).

One hundred and twenty-four autograph letters, 1959-1974, from painter-poet David ('Dafydd') Jones, all addressed to Valerie ('Elri') Wynne-Williams (née Price), with the exception of two to her husband Michael ('Mihangel') (ff. 54, 112-113) and one to them both (ff. 55-56), discussing a variety of topics including his, and her, health and living conditions, his work, his friends, the Welsh language and Welsh history and politics. The file comprises manuscript drafts of prose writings. Many of these drafts appear to be of letters from David Jones to private correspondents. Amongst the subjects discussed are various matters of Welsh interest (ff. 2-15, with two drafts concerning Saunders Lewis), and the relationship between the Last Supper, the Crucifixion and the Mass and between the nature of the Mass and the nature of art. There is one draft of what appears to be the end of a letter to Petra Tegetmeier (née Gill).
