Survey of the Forest of Radnor

(a) Inquisition of survey concerning the acreage, nature (including 'bushes ... consumed with wildbests and goats') value and boundaries of the Forest of Radnor, 3 Oct. 1564. It is stated that a certain 'chouse' or 'comodogeth' is to be paid for pasturing stock. The boundaries specified are black poole, a brook coming down Stalbeche, quarell Rees ap David, a little cwme or ditch near the same, straight over the wild foggy marsh to Crosse Lloid, y sarne gerrick, Bulche y Claieth yr hudee, a brook called Cume colloyd, round the hill to a farm called Llanevan, Cume Llegoden, Tomen y Castell, round the hill called the Mount, the Wenva, Lloyber y fene, along the crest of the hill above, the Nanttie, Clifte, and Rue gwir molenithe;
(b) Commission of survey to James ap Rees, Robert Davies, surveyor, and Edward ap Rees, esq., 27 April 1564. Latin. Attested copies.
