A transcript by W. J. Roberts from a manuscript which he found among the papers of David Jones of Trevriw ('Dafydd Sion Dafydd') and which he sold to E. G. B. Phillimore (i.e. NLW MS 255A); and transcripts of 'englynion o wneuthuriad Ellis ab Ellis o blwyf Trillo yn Sir Feirionydd' and of a portion of the Interlude of 'Deifus a Lazarus'.

A list [in the hand of J. T. Evans] of publications printed by David Jones and his successors at Trefriw and Llanrwst and offered for sale by O. Evans-Jones & Co., printers, stationers, &c., Llanrwst. The volume is thumb-indexed and the publications are entered in alphabetical order of first lines. Among a few insets and items bound into the volume are two lists of publications ('Rhestr o Lyfrau' and 'Rhestr o Ganiadau') printed and sold by O. Evans-Jones & Co.

Four holograph letters from Edw[ar]d Jones ('Iorwerth Ceitho'), Peckham Rye, London, to [Evan Jones, Portmadoc], 1908 (information concerning David Jones, 'Dewi Fardd', John Jones, 'Pyll [Glan Conwy'], and others towards the writer's Rhestr gyda nodiadau byrion o Enwogion Cymreig yn ystod 1700-1900, references to Dr. Hartwell Jones and to the London National Eisteddfod of 1909); together with a biographical note on John Jones ('Pyll') by [Evan Jones].

Towards the end of the volume there are short texts such as englynion in Latin, 'llyma gas bethav Owain Kyveiliog', 'xxiiij gwell', 'Geirie gwir Taliesin', triads, proverbs, the nine grades of kinship, medical recipes, 'Llyma henwau y pedair Caingc ar ddeg Cydwgan a Cyhelyn', and 'Henwau'r pedwar Gosdeg Cerdd dannau'. The greater part of the manuscript was written in the seventeenth century; but there are additions and marginal notes to the nineteenth century. There is an index ('Tabl y llyfr') to ff. 1--76, in a seventeenth century hand. Between ff. 4 and 6 are inserted two leaves (pp. 129-30, 135-6) of David Jones (Trefriw) (ed.): Cydymaith Diddan (Caer Lleon [1766]).
