Engagement diaries,

Pocket diaries, unless otherwise noted, 1939-2006 (with gaps), belonging to Kyffin Williams. They comprise brief, often occasional, entries recording visits; meetings with individuals, groups, and galleries; notes regarding exhibitions; and domestic and personal matters. Several diaries also contain reminders of engagements and appointments for the previous and following years. In addition, they include various notes, mostly relating to art, some of which appear to have been composed in preparation for talks by Kyffin Williams; together with poems, limericks, sketches and doodles by him.

Diary : 1967,

The Artists' Diary 1967, with entries for January 1968. An ink sketch of a side profile of a woman's head is included inside the back cover.

Diary : 1975,

Artists' Diary 1975, including entries for 31 December 1974 and January 1976, and two ink sketches of birds.

Diary : 1979,

Artist's Diary 1979, with engagements for December 1978 and the beginning of 1980. Also included are limericks, together with two ink sketches of a picture of mountains, and an outline of a domed building.

Diary : 1981,

Letts Diary 1981, with entries for December 1980 and the beginning of 1982. The volume also contains various notes including a number of small ink sketches under the 'Notes' section, and a list of pictures.

This is believed to be a print prepared for the exhibition “Lluniau o Batagonia” held at Llangefni Central Library in 1982. The title is taken from the catalogue for this exhibition

Lucenia Hanii (sic)

In 'A Wider Sky' (Gomer, 1991) on page 190 KW writes of his time in Tierra del Fuego "... I saw a delicate pink flower with grey-green leaves. It looked like a Fuegian edelweiss. I took a photograph of it that later appeared in an atlas of wildlife. Its name was Lucenia hanii."
