Lewis, of original material (14c-19c), mainly relating to Caernarvonshire and partly to Anglesey and Merioneth, extracted mainly from public records. Other sources include manuscripts in the British Museum; Bangor episcopal lease books, surveys and rentals in the possession of the Welsh Church Commission (now in the National Library of Wales); and printed matter.
