The file comprises a display of the arms of Sir William Morgan of Tredegar (c.1560-1653), "nowe liveinge", and his ancestors as far back as Cadifor Fawr and 'Bellyr'. The roll is worn and barely legible in places.

Armorial pedigree roll showing the descent from Drury, "a Norman gent. came in with William ye Conquerour", to Elizabeth (d. 1788), wife of William Byron, lord Byron, and her cousins Sir Charles Gould Morgan (d. 1806) and Paston Gould (d. 1782) The roll originally concluded with the generation of Elizabeth's grandfather, Charles Shaw (godson of Charles II), but is continued in other hands to 1794.

A display of the arms of Bridget and Ann, the daughters and coheirs of Sir William Drury. The 19 cent. notes include that Bridget married (2nd) Sir John Shaw of Eltham, Kent. Charles Shaw, their eldest son and heir (and godson of Charles II), married his cousin Elizabeth, daughter and co-heir of Philip and Anne Harbord of Stanning Hall, Norfolk, and their daughter Elizabeth married King Gould, esq., whose son Charles Gould married Jane Morgan (1731-1797), heiress of Tredegar, and became Sir Charles Morgan of Tredegar.

A paper pedigree mounted on linen of the descendants of Sir William Morgan (c.1560-1655) of Tredegar, to the fifth generation, William Morgan (d. 1763). The linen is endorsed "Sir W'm Morgan KB 1730", although dated pencil annotations to the pedigree continue to 1792.

A paper pedigree of the Morgan family of Tredegar, mounted on linen. The original pedigree starts with Sir William Morgan (c.1560-1655), and is continued to the generation of Jane Morgan (1731-1797). The pedigree is then carried down in a 19th century hand to the generation of Godfrey Charles Morgan (1831-1913), although the last dated entry is the death of his grandfather, Sir Charles Morgan in 1846.

The pedigree begins with Caradog Fraich Fras, prince between Wye and Severn, Gwrgan ap Hywel, king of Glamorgan, and William the conqueror, duke of Normandy, and continues to Morgan Llywelyn of Ystradfellte and Gwladys his wife, daughter of David Gwyn ap Gwalter ap Rosser of Kevenvedw. Most persons have a painted heraldic shield. Several of the males in the final generations include the note 'now liveinge 1622', including Morgan Llywelyn and his father Llywelyn David, Sir Henry Williams of Gwernyfed, and Thomas Price, esq. There are a very few later annotations, none of them dated.

The pedigree begins with Maymark, lord of Brecknock, Gwrgan, prince of Glamorgan, Rees ap Theodor, king of south Wales, Griffith ap Conan, king of north Wales, and king William the conqueror, and continues to William Morgan of Dderw, and Blanche his wife, the daughter of Sir William Morgan of Tredegar. Each person has a painted heraldic shield. Several of the males in the final generations include the date '1633', suggesting that they were alive at the time the pedigree was prepared. These include William Morgan of Dderw, esq., his father Morgan Llywelyn of Ystradfellte and his father-in-law Sir William Morgan of Tredegar, and Sir William's son William Morgan of Machen, as well as the more distantly related Sir Harry Williams, Harry Williams, esq., his son, and Thomas Price, esq. There are a very few later annotations, one dated 1843, which appear to be in the hand of Octavius Morgan.
