A pardon, 19 April 1452, granted to Thomas, bishop of St Asaph, during his episcopacy, of a farm of 20 marks for a place called Gronant-is-y-môr, co. Flint, granted to Llewellyn, bishop of St Asaph, by Edward, late Prince of Wales, and pardoned to Robert, late bishop, by Henry V, and to John, late bishop, by the king by letters patent dated 12 May, 15 Henry VI. Autograph notes of William Retlaw Williams towards the compilation of his The Parliamentary History of the County of Hereford (Brecknock, 1896), including notes on Herefordshire parliaments from the early thirteenth century through to the nineteenth century.
Loose in an envelope are two letters, 1896 and 1901, from Williams to Frances Christina Baldwyn-Childe of Kyle Park, Worcestershire; a postcard showing Brinfield Court, Herefordshire, which was burnt down in August 1925; press cuttings, 1887, from the Hereford Times; and a printed advertisement for William Retlaw Williams, The Parliamentary History of Worcestershire (Hereford, 1897). These loose items were found in a copy of Williams's The Parliamentary History of the County of Hereford which at one time belonged to Frances Christina Baldwyn-Childe, and were transferred from the Department of Printed Books at NLW in 1980.

A Particular of tenths issuing out of lands in Hierathog, co. Denb., parcel of the possessions formerly belonging to the monastery of Conwy, co. Caern., and late parcel of the late King's revenues. On the dorse is a memorandum dated 25 June 1657 of a grant by the trustees for sale of fee farm rents to Mawrice Gethinges, citizen and merchant-tailor of London, of the rent of 11s.11 yearly issuing out of the said premises.

There is one entry for Flintshire: 'Wm. Price of Vaynol, for the late house of John Lloyd, Register in St Asaph, where he kept the records of the Consistory Court there, 6s. 8d.' The parishes enumerated in Denbighshire are: Henllan, Llansannan, Llanrhaiadr, Abergele, Eglwysfach, Llanyfydd, Llanfair, Ruabon, Llansilin, Llanidan, and St Winifred's chapel in Gwytherin. There is a reference to Gabriel Parry, BD, vicar of Abergele [1613-1653].
