Writ to the sheriff of co. Denb. to enquire what damages had been sustained by the plaintiff, Mary Jones, who recently obtained, in the king's court at Westminster, judgment against Thomas Edwards and Edward Jones Edwards for damaging her property and cutting down trees on her closes in p. Gresford, co. Denb., on 1 Nov. 1824. Plaintiff claims £500 damages. Endorsed: 'The execution of this writ appears in the inquisition [now missing] hereunto annexed; the answer of William Egerton, esquire, sheriff.'.

Writ to the sheriff of co. Flint, to put Edward Griffith, alderman, in possession of a m. and 146 a. of land in Flint, which he had recovered in the king's court before the justice of Flint from William Cowley and John Hughes, both of Flint, yeomen, and to produce the said William Cowley and John Hughes before the king's justice of the Great Sessions for co. Flint on the first day of the next sessions to pay the said Edward Griffith, alderman, £5.9.3, the damages awarded to him in the case. A return by Thomas Mostyn, esq., sheriff, (endorsed) states that he had given possession of the said property, and that the said William Cowley and John Hughes non sunt inventi in his bailiwick. Writ to the sheriff of co. Glam. to have the bodies of the persons mentioned in an annexed schedule before the barons of the Exchequer in order that the said persons may render an account of the amounts due for Land Tax. The schedule gives the following details from the amounts for the years 1708, 1709, and 1710 of George Howell, esq., receiver-general of the co. bor. of Carmarthen, cos Carm., Card., Glam., and Pemb., and the town and co. of Haverfordwest, for the moneys granted by an Act of Parliament, entitled 'an Act for granting an aid to her Majesty to be raised by a Land Tax in Great Britain'. The acting commissioners for the tax for co. Glam. were as follows:- 1708, Edward Carne, Thomas Thomas, Thomas Button, and Edward Turburvill, esq's; 1709, Edward Turbervill, Thomas Thomas, Evan Thomas, and William Mathews, esq's; 1710, Edward Carne, Alexander Trotter, Thomas Roberts, Thomas Thomas, and Evan Thomas, esq's. The amount due for Land Tax was £16.8.91/4 for 1708, £16.8.9 for 1709, and £16.9.61/4 for 1710.
