Hanes cerddoriaeth, barddoniaeth a thrioedd Cymreig, &c.,

A volume written by Edward Jones (Bardd y Brenin) (1752-1824) and William Jones, Llangadfan (1726-1795) containing transcripts on the history and technical aspects of Welsh music, poetry, cerdd dant, etc., with transcribed examples of poetry. The volume also includes a letter from William Salesbury to Gruffydd Hiraethog (pp. 32-35), notes relating to William Salesbury (p. 35), and accounts of figures and events from Welsh history and legend.

A volume containing historical notes, in Welsh, probably written in the year 1847, with reference to the origin of the Calvinistic Methodist and Baptist denominations in various parts of North Cardiganshire.

Historical and topographical collections for Shropshire (Vol. I)

The first of two volumes, containing a 19th century copy of an early 18th century manuscript by Edward Lloyd of Newtown, near Oswestry, barrister-at-law, and William Mytton of Halston, relating to the antiquities of Shropshire. Indexes to the places referred to and a list of the hundreds of Shropshire precede the text of the volume.

Historical notes

The first part of the volume consists of notes on various historical characters and an account of the kings and queens of England from William the Conqueror to Mary Tudor (pp. 7-178). The remainder of the volume contains quotations from various sources and historical notes (pp. 179-300).

Historical prophecies

A 16th century miscellaneous collection, in Latin and English, of historical prophecies in verse and prose attributed to Merlin, Thomas of Erceldoune and others; the text begins on p. 14 and ends on p. 72, with many blank leaves.

History of the Gwydir family and other tracts,

This manuscript consists of memoirs by Sir John Wynn of Gwydir. No description is given in the text, but it corresponds with the Memoirs printed by Angharad Llwyd in her edition of the History of the Gwydir Family, and reprinted in the 1878 edition, pp. 90-105. The printed text, however, ends at the middle of p. 24 of this MS. Also included is a history of the Gwydir Family by Sir John Wynn: this corresponds to pp. 12-84 of the last printed edition (1878). That manuscript also contains a copy of the Survey of Penmaenmawr, said to have been made by Sir John Wynn of Gwydir, printed from a copy belonging to Mr. Thomas Wright, F.S.A. by J. O. Halliwell in 1859 and reprinted by Mr. W. Bezant Lowe at Llanfairfechan in 1906. Pages 149-152 list farms and names of occupiers, with returns as to the number of lambs, the amount of lactuals, money received for the lambs, and payments. The date is 1736. The farms are situate on the Denbighshire side of the Conway in the parishes of Eglwysbach, Llanddoged, &c.

Howel W. Lloyd: Barddoniaeth Guto'r Glyn

A volume containing a collection of transcripts of Welsh poetry from the British Museum and Peniarth collections made by Howel W. Lloyd (1816-1893), many of the poems having been printed in the History of Powys Fadog by J. Y. W. Lloyd, 1881-1887; the writer has added collations to some of the poems and has contributed many historical notes.

Howel William Lloyd: Papurau

A number of loose sheets containing transcripts of Welsh poetry in the hand of Howel William Lloyd of Rhagatt (1816-1893), with translations; the transcripts were undertaken for the Chevalier Lloyd of Clochfaen and many of them, both originals and translations, were printed in the History of Powys Fadog. Also included is a transcript of a part of the manuscript of Y Marchog Crwydrad which was once in the possession of H. W. Lloyd (now Llanstephan MS 178).

A volume, 1759-1812, containing notes, extracts, translations, etc. relating to Breconshire in the hands of the Reverend Hugh Jones of Llangammarch and his son, Theophilus Jones (1759-1812) and contains a great deal of the material obtained by Theophilus Jones for his History.
