The folder comprises an article written in the hand of the Rev. J. W. Hayes, entitled 'Irish Manuscript and other evidence concerning the use of rough and smooth stone weapons within historic times', an article entitled 'Wales and the Cymmrodorion Society' (author unknown), and three other incomplete artices/lectures.

Newspapers in Wales

The file comprises a MS volume listing names of newspapers, the names and addresses of their proprietors and London correspondents, and the day of publication; a MS sheet containing the same information; a MS volume containing this information as well as details of political affiliation and the names of editors; notes on an address proposing the establishment of a museum of natural history for Wales; a letter from W. Cadwaladr Davies to C. W. Jones (Cymmrodorion Secretary) concerning this address and reports which would appear in the press; and a number of press cuttings showing details of the printers and publishers of newspapers

Owain Myfyr commemoration

The file comprises letters to and from J. L. C. Cecil-Williams (Honourary Secretary of the Society) relating to the removal of Owen Jones' (Owain Myfyr) tombstone from London to Llanfihangel Glyn Myfyr, and the organisation of a commemorative service on 11 August 1951.

Owen's Pembrokeshire, unpublished volumes IV and V

Three volumes of The Description of Pembrokeshire by George Owen were published between 1892 and 1906 as part of the Cymmrodorion Record Series 1. The letters contained in this folder, to and from J. L. C. Cecil Williams, discuss the preparations for a fourth and fifth volume. The fourth volume was published in 1936 with Egerton Phillimore as editor. Egerton Phillimore died in 1937 before the fifth and final volume could be completed.
