The writer has spent money in building there and desires a lease to protect his interests against certain parishioners who claim that the land is common.

Bill Of Complaint of William, Lord Powis, in the Court of Chancery against Robert John, Rees Prees, Griffith Reighnold and John Davis, all of t. Articles Of Agreement between Henry Townsend of Counde, Shropshire, esq., one of Her Majesty's Council in the Marches of Wales, and Rowland ap Hughe of Mathavarn, co. Mont., esq., for an assignment of a term of years in the lordship of or the manor ofKevielioge, co. Mont., saving the encroachments made by the freeholders in consideration that the said Rowland Pughe shall have the office of stewardship of the said the lordship of as Edward Pryce, gent., held it. Rowland Pughe shall have the appointment of the bailiffs of the hundred of Machynlleth, the recorder and other officers in the said the lordship of. Rowland Pughe shall pay to Townsend £18 annually, and £103.6 annually, and for the casualties there £13.6.8, which last sums are due to Mr Roger Owen. Rowland Pughe further agrees to pay Townsend before the last day of Nov. the moiety of all felons' goods and lands escheated or forfeited in the the lordship of, and the moiety of all goods and chattels of persons outlawed or put in exigent, and the moiety of the goods and lands of all persons convicted or attainted of felony within the the lordship of, felons' 'dese' and deodands, and the moiety of all the benefit of forfeitures of every recognisance. Pughe shall send to Townsend's house one dozen partridges and another of grouse at the feast of the Nativity.
