Bill Of Complaint of William, Lord Powis, in the Court of Chancery against Robert John, Rees Prees, Griffith Reighnold and John Davis, all of t. Bodynvall in the lordships of Mechen Uchcoed and Iscoed, and David ap Evan of Penyarth in the said lordships, defendants, touching enclosures of wastes and commons of the said lordships during the Civil war period and the retention of the same as part of their freeholds.

Order that the Commission for surveying the lordships of Kerry, Kedewen and Halceter, co. Mont., taken out last vacation by means of Sir William Herbert, kt, farmer of the the lordship of's, and the inquisition thereupon taken shall be neither filed nor published, following the objection of David ap Ieavan ap John ap Meredith, one of the tenants of the said lordships , that commissioners were partial and related to Sir William Herbert and that no notice of the proposed survey had been given to the tenants, in accordance with a previous order. Articles Of Agreement between Henry Townsend of Counde, Shropshire, esq., one of Her Majesty's Council in the Marches of Wales, and Rowland ap Hughe of Mathavarn, co. Mont., esq., for an assignment of a term of years in the lordship of or the manor ofKevielioge, co. Mont., saving the encroachments made by the freeholders in consideration that the said Rowland Pughe shall have the office of stewardship of the said the lordship of as Edward Pryce, gent., held it. Rowland Pughe shall have the appointment of the bailiffs of the hundred of Machynlleth, the recorder and other officers in the said the lordship of. Rowland Pughe shall pay to Townsend £18 annually, and £103.6 annually, and for the casualties there £13.6.8, which last sums are due to Mr Roger Owen. Rowland Pughe further agrees to pay Townsend before the last day of Nov. the moiety of all felons' goods and lands escheated or forfeited in the the lordship of, and the moiety of all goods and chattels of persons outlawed or put in exigent, and the moiety of the goods and lands of all persons convicted or attainted of felony within the the lordship of, felons' 'dese' and deodands, and the moiety of all the benefit of forfeitures of every recognisance. Pughe shall send to Townsend's house one dozen partridges and another of grouse at the feast of the Nativity.

Grant from the Crown to James Palmer, esq., and Edward Herbert, gent., in consideration of £1,000 paid by Percy Herbert, kt and bart, of the lordships of and manors Mountgomery, Kerry and Kedewen, the town of Mountgomery, the manor of Halcetor and lands, tmt's, rents, etc. (specified in detail), pertaining thereto in co. Mont., for a term of ninety-nine years at a rent of £144.16.83/4 annually. Latin. Copy.

Not to involve the Duke in the ejectment. The lease that has fallen in on the death of John Francis: the estate to be set at the improved yearly value. His Grace is resolved never to take any fines but to let all the leases run out. The money due upon Mr. Bynner's bargain.
