The remainder is in several hands of the late seventeenth or early eighteenth century. There are copious annotations by William Maurice and some additions and annotations by Cadwaladr Dafydd, Llanymowddwy (1747) and L[ewis] Morris ('Llewelyn Ddu o Fôn', 1701-65).

Twenty-eight holograph letters and a fragment of another, 1728-1764, of the Morrises of Anglesey and their circle, the correspondents being Rhist. Morys, London (4), Llywelin Deheubarth (1), Edward Hughes, Aberystwyth and Gallt Vadog (5), Lewis Morris, London and Galltvadog (10), [Goronwy Owen] 'Gronwy Ddu', Llundain (1), Margt. Owen, Pentrerianell (5), Wm Morris, Caer Gybi Sant (1), an unnamed correspondent, Llanvayr Clwydogau (1), and Richd. Morris, Rhydyraderyn (1). All these letters have been published except possibly that of Rich[ar]d Morris, Rhydyraderyn (1764), and a chronological list with references has now been inserted in the volume. Most of the letters have been published in Additional Letters of the Morrises of Anglesey (1735-1786), ed. Hugh Owen (Y Cymmrodor, Vol. XLIX, Part II (1949). They are followed by copies of letters written to [Hugh Hughes] Hugh ap Hugh, Llwydiarth Esgob by John Thomas [d. 1769], Bangor and Bewmaris [sic], 1764-7 (3), and Rhist. Morys, Llundain, 1760-70 (4, one possibly holograph). At the end of the volume are items of verse by various authors, including S. W., Owen Gruffydd, John Roderick, Sion Onest, 1736, Hugh Morris, Ellis Cadwaladr and Evan Williams 'Telynior yn Llundain' (a translation of 'Lovely Peggy').

A notebook in the hand of J. H. Davies containing an alphabetical index of first lines of poetry by Huw Morys published in W[alter] D[avies] ['Gwallter Mechain'], Eos Ceiriog (Wrexham, 1823), with a few subsequent additions from Cwrtmawr MSS 222, 224 and from Carolau a Dyriau Duwiol ([Shrewsbury] 1696).

An early eighteenth century miscellany, with later additions, containing recipes in English; a herbal in Welsh, with 'englynion' in praise of herbs by William Cynwall, Huw llun, Rhys Iorwerth fynglwyd, Gryffith ap Efan, Dr. Richard Dafis ('Esgob Dewi'), Sion ap Sion, Sion Tudur, Howel borthor ('o'r Trallwng yn mhowys'), Thomas Efans (1619), etc; 'Brenin yn yr hên amser a ddyfeisiodd i ddeuddeg oi wyr ddoydyd 12 gair gwir dan eu perigl'; 'gofyn a wnaeth y saith wyr doethion iw gilidd. Pa ryw ddaioni ore ar ddyn ...'; 'y pethau a berthyn ar wr'; Welsh proverbs; 'Dysg i adnabod y lleuad newydd', 'I gael y Pasc tros byth', 'I gael difieu cablyd', 'I gael y Pasc byth', 'I gael newid y lleuad', and 'I wybod oed y lleuad', 'Tair Sir ar ddeg o gymru au Trefydd au dinasoedd au Cymydau, au heglwysydd' ('Diwedd Ebrill 10. 1722'); 'Trioedd mab y Crinwas'; 'Triodd [sic] yr usuriwr'; the story of 'Adar Llwch Gwin'; 'y Pedair Camp ar hugain', etc. The leather cover is blind tooled 'Ex Dono Edvardi Humphrey Anno Domni 1661', but there is no evidence to show whether or not this inscription refers to the present volume.

A commonplace book of Evan Evans otherwise Evan ab Evans ('Ieuan Fardd' otherwise 'Ieuan Brydydd Hir', 1731-88), containing excerpts and extracts of prose and verse derived chiefly from English seventeenth and eighteenth century sources, e.g. Alexander Pope (translations of the 'Iliad' and the 'Odyssey'), Samuel Johnson (life of Richard Savage), John Dryden ('Preface to the Fables'), Abraham Cowley ('Miscellanies' and 'Davideis'), Sir John Suckling, William Warburton, William Wycherley, William Congreve, Joseph Addison, Samuel Butler ('Hudibras'), etc. The volume also contains 'englynion' and couplets by William Llyn, 'Theodore Alet', Sion Brwynog, Evan ab Jenkin Evan, D[afydd ap] G[wilym] Iolo Goch, Gwilim ab Ieuan hen, Dafydd ap Edmunt, Huw Cae Llwyd, Sion Tudur, and E. Evans, 'A Table of Summs in Attic Money with their proportion to english money', the first line of the Lord's Prayer in divers languages; etc.

A volume of sermons, including funeral sermons, preached during the period 1642-1663 at Mold ('apud Montem Altum'), Llangynocke, Llaneurgayn, Llanvyllyn, Pennant, Langwm, Lann Rayder?, Beryw (Berew), Gwyddelwern, Llanwythyn, and Llwydiarth, together with prayers, among them being 'A prayer & Thanksgivinge [for the success of Prince Rupert] to bee vsed in the churches of North Wales 1644', and some later additions. On one of the fly-leaves is a stanza in 'triban' metre to the curate of Llan Gwstennyn.

A manuscript containing an alphabetical list of poets and authors (most with abbreviations for the names and floruits appended) and literary and historical works (e.g. Brut y Tywysogion, Buchedd St Margaret); a list of Welsh proverbs, all starting with 'ni' or 'nid'; poetry, nearly all in the form of 'englynion', mainly by Owen Gruffydd 'o blwy Llanystynd[wy]' and Absalom Roberts of Llanrwst, with a few 'englynion' by John Prichard Prys, Edward Morus, Ellis Rolant, Sion Dafydd and anonymous; on the last page (24) there are epitaphs in verse to Anne and Cathrin Roberts of Goppa, who died in 1780.

An imperfect manuscript lettered 'Llyfr Tesni' containing astrological and other texts and tables, such as 'llyma y XII Arwydd', 'helynt yr wybyr' ('devddeg gwynt y sydd'), 'Arwyddion' based on the incidence of thunder within each month, 'llyma Rifedi yr hyn sydd, o orie ymhob mis or flwyddyn', 'llyma glandyr a elwir treiad ymryson', a table for the years 1690-1794 indicating the golden number ('prif') and dominical letter ('llythyren y Svl'), 'devddec mis sydd yn y flwyddyn', 'englynion ir prifiav ysydd yn y misoedd hyny', a table of the cycle of the sun and the moon, 'Brevddwidion y lloer yn ol llyfr y gwybodeth', 'Era Pater', 'Englynion y Misoedd' by Aneirin gwawdydd ('yn llys Maelgwyn gwynedd Brenin Brytaniaid'), 'Englynion yr Eira Mynydd' by Mabgloch ab Llowarch hen, 'Cowydd ir ffenix' by Sion Phylip, 'devddeg gair gwir', 'Cowydd ir devddeg gair gwir, by Thomas ap Evan (1629), and 'llyma henwav y brenhinoedd a farnwyd yn ore or brytaniaid ... 24 sydd o honynt. The volume was written by Richard 'ysgripiwr' (the scribe) during the period January ? 1691/2 - April 1692; in addition, some recipes (for ink, how to write with gold) in an 18th century hand.

An imperfect volume of 'cywyddau', a few 'englynion' and a carol by William Sion ab Dafydd, Roger Kyffin, Sion Ffylip, William Llyn, Tydyr Aled, John Morgans, John Prichart Prees, Iolo Goch, Edward Moris (corrected to Sion Tydur), Robt. Edward, D. ab Edw[ard], Richard Phylip, Griffith Parry, John Davis, and Sion Dafydd Sienkin. The volume may be in the hand of John Pughe of Kedris, whose name occurs twice: 'John Pughe his hand 1731', (p. 12) and 'John Pughe of Kedris his hand 1732' (p. 16).

Davies containing a transcript of 'Hanes Arthur brenin y Brython' from Peniarth MS 215, with an incomplete transcript from NLW MS 1 and a covering letter in the hand of Egerton Phillimore, Corris, 1923 (see J. H. Y dôn yw blodau'r dyffryn' by Edward Charles is the following postscript, - 'Gresyn na fyddai beirdd Cymry yn 'r oes hon yn canu ar yr hên Geingciau cymreig fel y pennillion hyn: mae'nt hwyth[a]u yn barddoni y rhan fynycha, a'r ryw Geingciau seisnig, yr hyn sydd hollol anghyttun a pheroriaeth y Cymro'. '), two 'englynion' by John Davies in a copy of his dictionary presented to Rolant Vychan of Caergai, 'An admonition for the reading of the British words', 'Geiriau or Un Swn ac nid o'r un Feddwl', and 'The Numbers, Names, qualities, Royalties, Footings, Degrees of Age etc. of Beasts of the Forests according as they are termed of skillfull Forresters and Woodmen' (the latter from John Guillim, A Display of Heraldrie). On the inside lower cover is a paste-down of the certificate of subscription, 20 March 1767, by Thomas Owen of Jesus College, Oxford [rector of Upton Scudamore, Wiltshire, from 1779 until his death in 1812.].

A scrap-book compiled, with a holograph introduction and table of authors, by David Evans, Llanrwst containing press cuttings, largely from Llais y Wlad, 1875-?81, of 'cywyddau' and 'awdlau', with annotations. The poetry consists mainly of the flyting 'cywyddau' of Edmwnd Prys and William Cynwal ('Yr Ymrysonfeydd rhwng Edmwnd Prys, Archddiacon Meirionydd, a William Cynwal, Prydydd ac Arwyddfardd') and 'cywyddau' ('Cyfansoddiadau') by Dafydd Llwyd ab Llywelyn ab Gruffydd Fychan. A volume in the hand of Owen Williams ('Owain Gwyrfai'; 1790-1874), Waun-fawr, Caernarvonshire, containing a list of contents of a pedigree manuscript of Owen Gruffydd, Llanystumdwy, and poetry by Lewis Morganwg from a manuscript in the writer's possession, both compiled in 1843 with a view to publication in Yr Haul; and transcripts, made during the period 1871-2, of poetry by Cadwaladr Cesail (transcribed at the request of John Jones, Bryn y Gro, Llanystumdwy), and Morys Dwyfech. In the case of the latter poet, some transcripts are in another hand and there are copious corrections by John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd'). The volume is labelled on the upper cover 'Owain Gwyrfai MS'.

A transcript of Cardiff MS 24 (Phillipps MS 2954), being poetry by Morgan Llwyd (1619-59) (cf. Gweithiau Morgan Llwyd o Wynedd, cyf. 1, gol. Thomas E. Ellis (Bangor, 1899), pp. 3-111). Many of the items have been crossed out (although they can still be read) and pp. 67-8 and 86 of the transcript appear to be wanting. There are a few notes in pencil by J. H. Davies.

Much of the contents of the manuscript was transcribed by David Evans, Llanrwst in Cwrtmawr MS 117.

A collection of poetry almost entirely in free metres entitled 'Casgliad o Gerddi a Charolau ar amryw Destynau O waith amriw Feirdd Cymru'. The manuscript is in the hand of David Ellis, Cricieth, and was written around 1790-1. The poets represented are Arthur Jones ('Clochydd Llan Gadwaladr yn swydd Ddinbych') (1743-56), Morys Roberts (Bala), Huw Thomas (Llandderfel) (1729, 1752), David Ellis (1757-91), Huw Morys, Ellis Rowland (Harlech), William Wynne ('Person Llangynhafal') (1745), Richard Parry ('Athraw Ysgol yn Niwbwrch'), Ellis Cadwaladr (Edeirnion) (1718), Ellis ab Ellis ('Gweinidog Eglwys Rhos a Llan Dudno') (1683), Iolo ap Ieuan, Edward Morris, Edward Jones (Bodffari), Rhys Ellis ('o'r Waun'), David Jones otherwise 'Dafydd hir o Lanfair Talhaiarn', Griffith Edward, Morgan Llwyd (Maentwrog), Edward Samuel ('Person Llangarw gwyn'), and Evan Herbert ('Gweinidog Llan Illtud a Llan Fachreth'). At the end of the volume is a table of contents ('Cynwysiad y Caniadau') and an index of poets ('Enwau'r Prydyddion ...'). The spine is lettered 'David Ellis MS'.
