Informs that he has signed the statement sent by Professor Gilbert Murray on 23 Feb. Notes that resolutions of Senate are not valid until confirmed by the University Court, which will not meet until July. Add that Senate were in favour, and is confident that the Court will take the same position. Will ask the Executive Committee of the Court to take action on behalf of the Court, in their upcoming meeting on 20 Apr.
Letter from Professor Gilbert Murray of the Board of Education to Principal E. H. Griffiths, regarding the British Prisoners of War Book Scheme (Educational). He is seeking to arrange with examining bodies, such as the University, to accept prisoners' records of study as part of a course of study or examination, in order to encourage participation in the scheme. Refers to 'accompanying papers' and a 'statement' which are not in the archive.

Griffiths, confirming that names of volunteers are not required, only numbers, in order to establish how large an area will be planted for the coming year. Suggests staff volunteers could be accomodated separately, and be reassured that they would not find themselves working under the direction of one of the students.
