Cardiganshire Appeal Tribunal: Minutes, Correspondence, Working Papers,
The Appeals Tribunal was based on the existing county boundaries. In Cardiganshire's case it had up to ten members at any one time, one of whom was required by law to have legal training. Typically an Appeals Tribunal would recruit many of its members from county councillors. The secretarial duties were performed by a clerk, who, in this case, was Edgar Evans, the clerk to Cardiganshire County Council. He appears to have been responsible for the records. This series includes the core administrative documents: minute books, correspondence, notebooks, and lists of appeals. Further details about individual appeal cases can often be found in these records.
