Exemplification of a recovery of 32 messuages in Bodederne, Rhosegolyn, Llanvair yn Eubwll, Llanvair Mathavarn Eitha and Keirchiog, co. Anglesey, suffered, 9 May 1722, between Henry White and William Lewis, demandants, and Maurice Lewis and Henry Ellis, tenants, who vouched to warranty John Mostyn, clerk, Anne his wife, William Mostyn and Mary his wife.

    Pre-nuptial settlement of Roger Davies and Mary, daughter of James Humphreys, being a release by 1 to 3 of the cap. m. of Dungray with the demesne lands in p. Bangor [Is-coed], co. Flint and other estates of inheritance or freehold of 1 in co. Flint, except the Gilvach Vawr and Gilvach Vechan and some mixed land in Maes y Groes which R.D. lately purchased from Andrew Edwards of Bangor, shoemaker, in trust to the following uses: the cap. m. of Dungray, Great Row, the Middle Row, Gwerglodd Iscellog, the Great Meadow, the Hirdir, the Hempyard and the Little Hill to the use of Elizabeth Davies for life for her jointure and after her decease to 3 for the life of Roger Davies in trust to preserve the contingent remainder; lands in the parishes of Bangor [Is-coed] and Worthenbury called the Tiryd, the Hunt yr Over, Stanielth, Great Bryn y Dungray, the Little Bryn y Dungray, Cae Cropa, Tyr David, Cae Amber, the Little Meadow adjoining Cae Amber, Havod y Verwyns, a m. called John ap Williams’s tenement and 2 houses and yards in the holding of George Brougher and Trevor Davies, all in p. Bangor [Is-coed] to the use of Mary the intended wife of R.D. for her jointure in lieu of dower with remainder to 3 to preserve the contingent remainders; the residue of the m’s and lands to R.D. for life with remainder to the trustees; and after the determination of those estates the cap. m. and other m’s and lands to the use of the first son of Roger Davies and Mary, then to the heirs of the first son and in default of such issue to the second son, etc. (further uses in tail general); appointment to R.D. to charge the settled estates with a sum not exceeding £1000 for the portions of any younger sons and daughters, or £1500 for daughters alone.

Mortgage of Havod and Rug mills, etc.

Mortgage for £400 by Rowland Pughe of Rug and Elizabeth his wife [nee Salesbury], to Charles Edwards of Tredderwen Fawr, Montgomeryshire, 1724/5, of Havod and other messuages (tenants named), three water corn mills called Rug Mill, Corwen Mill, and Llwyn y Braine Mill, and duties issuing in Corwen, Saithmarchog, Aelhaearn, Ucheldre, Llygadog, Betws-y-Coed, Ddol Carrog, Presaethydd, Bodheulog, and Bodorlas, all in the townships of Rug, Ucheldre, Llygadog, Aberalwen, and Ddol, in the parishes of Corwen, Gwyddelwern and Llangar, Merioneth, reciting the partition of the estate of Owen Salesbury in 1720-1721 and the subsequent uses.

Mortgages of Tythyn Nant y Perfedd, Elerch

Two mortgages of Tythen Nant Perfedd in the township of Elerch and parish of Llanbadarn Fawr, with associated bonds and defeasances, 1618-1710. The first mortgage, for £160 by Sir Richard Pryse of Gogerddan to Reginald Williams of Elerch, also includes land called Llayn y Pant Coch in the parish of Llanbadarn Fawr, a messuage called Kemyniog in the parishes of Llanbadarn Fawr and Llanfihangel Genau’r-glyn, and Yr Istrade Goch, otherwise Kemynog, and Ty yn Nant y Twrch in Llanfihangel Genau’r-glyn, 1618. The second mortgage, for £50, is by his great-grandson Sir Richard Pryse to Thomas ap Hugh, 1668, with successive assignments to Catherin Hugh of Elerch, 1692, Hugh Pugh of Cwmbiga in Trefeglwys, Montgomeryshire, 1710, and Thomas Hugh of Camddwr Mawr, Llanbadarn Fawr, 1724.

Mortgage of Dolwaylod, Isygarreg

Mortgage by Thomas Pughe of Penwern, Merioneth and his son Rowland Pughe, to Lewis Lewis of Penmaen, Merioneth, of a meadow called Dolwaylod in Isygarreg, Machynlleth, bordered by the river Dyfi (Dovey) and Dolebrythion, 1640/1; and a reconveyance by John Vaughan of Penmaen Dovey, surviving representative of the original mortgagee, to Thomas Pryse the elder of Gogerddan, 1724.
