J. Evans as secretary of Montgomeryshire Association of Headmasters and Headmistresses during 1896, copies of twelve letters being included, relating mainly to resolutions passed at meetings of the association, including two copies of a letter from S. J. Evans to J. E. Southall, Newport re his work on a Welsh Grammar, i.e. Studies in Welsh Grammar and Philology [see no. 289. For letters of S. J. Evans see nos 138-204 and 208-27. See also no. 286].
