Papers comprising two copies of Cywydd Marwnad yr Anrhydeddus Esqr Edward Williams o Peniarth yn y Flwyddyn 1762 by H. Willim, beginning 'Och oer drist och arw a droes' (Nos 1-2); Cywydd marwnad yr Anrhydeddus Edward Williams o Beniarth, esqr by John Williams, Talywaun, beginning 'Duw droes farny dros feirion' (No. 2), together with an unfinished English verse translation (No. 3); An elegy on the Death of E. W. Esqr. by E. Lloyd, beginning 'If when the soul has left the mouldring clay' (No. 4). Four items.
A copy of John Ray, Synopsis Methodica Stirpium Britannicarum, 2nd ed. (London, 1696) and of De Methodo Plantarum Viri Clarissimi D. Augusti Quirini Rivini..., both interleaved and annotated by Edward Lhuyd with notes relating to fossils, inscriptions, antiquities and various place names, river and mountain names, etc. in Wales, with further notes in another contemporary hand. The topographical notes include all the Merionethshire parishes of the diocese of St Asaph, and a few parishes in Denbighshire; there are also some drawings of monuments. An envelope in the box contains dried plants originally kept in the manuscript itself. Also included in the volume are examples of the poetry of Llawdden (fl. 1450).
A Welsh version of the Laws of Hywel Dda, in two or more hands. On pp. 113 and 160 there are notes in the hand of W. Wotton; a letter from Thomas Lewis transcribed onto p. 267 is only partially legible but contains the words 'Morgan', 'Tredegar', 'Radyr', 'Sainghenydd', and two englynion.
The manuscript is in two parts and comprises two versions of the Laws of Hywel Dda. The first is the Befol version in a hand of the last quarter of the 15th century. The second part is in two hands of the first half of the 16th century. There are also two indentures included at the beginning and end of the manuscript.

The texts of Dares Phrygius, Brut y Brenhinedd and Brut y Tywysogion in the hand of John Jones, Gellilyfdy, written in London, 2 August 1634. The manuscript is a transcript of Peniarth MS 19, with the lacunae filled from Peniarth MS 22.
A collection of Welsh texts, including two versions of Trioedd Ynys Prydain; Brut y Saeson; Cantrefi a Chymydau Cymru; a text on Eisteddfod Caerfyrddin; Dyddiau Tyngedfenol; Macsen Wledig; and Hanes Gruffudd ap Cynan in the hand of John Jones, Gellilyfdy while he was detained in the Fleet prison, 1635-1641. There are also a few Latin texts, including a memoranda of events in English history from A.D. 140 to 1380, De Geometria, and the Life of Elgarus. The text was completed on 22nd June 1641 by John Jones of Ysgeifiog and transcribed by William Maurice in 1662.
A collection of Gwynedd pedigrees (constituting Anglesey, Carnarvonshire and Meirionethshire) in the hand of Lewis Dwnn, 1586-1611. There is also part of an index (A - M) of place names within the manuscript on pp. i-iv, and some poetry in the hand of the Reverend William Wynne on pp. ix-xii. A fragment of the manuscript is part of a manuscript from Nanhoron.
A collection of texts relating to early British history; pedigrees; Bonedd y Saint; a list of Roman consuls; extracts, etc. The manuscript is in several hands, including those of J. D. Rhys and Robert Vaughan of Hengwrt. The pages are not always in order as loose pages which had been separated have been joined together again during rebinding.

The two-part manuscript is in the hand of Robert Vaughan and comprises three transcripts of John Stow's copy of the Collectanea and Itinerary of John Leland, having two transcripts in the first part and one in the second.
