A manuscript, in two parts, in the hand of Evan Evans (Ieuan Fardd). The first part (old foliation 1-56) contains a dedication to Sir Watkin Williams Wynn of Wynnstay and a dedicatory preface in which it is stated that this transcript was made from the exemplar of William Maurice of Cefn y Braich 'in tua Bibliotheca Lanvordaviana' (pp. 3-12), and an address to the reader which relates to the sources of the collection (pp. 17-95); Gruffudd Hiraethog's 'Lloegr-drigiant Ddifyrrwch Brytannaidd Gymro' (pp. 97-109; cf. Peniarth MS 155); and a copy of the Latin and Welsh prefaces as printed before the Proverbs in the Dictionarium Duplex of Dr John Davies, 1632 (pp. 110-112). The second part (old foliation 1-316) contains 'Adagia Britannica' or Welsh proverbs collected by 'yr Hên Gyrys o Jal', with translations into Latin and some illustrative notes by Dr John Davies, Mallwyd, copied from the transcript made by William Maurice of Llansilin 'ex prototypo' in 1675 (this collection is fuller than that printed at the end of Dr Davies's Dictionary) (pp. 113-654); followed by 'Cas bethau gwyr Rhufain' and 'Cas ddynion Selyf Ddoeth', etc. (pp. 655-680); further material from the 'Lloegr-drigiant Ddifyrrwch Brytannaidd Gymro' of Gruffudd Hiraethog (pp. 689-733); etc.
A manuscript in the autograph of Evan Evans (Ieuan Fardd) containing vocabularies with (sometimes speculative) meanings, including terms taken from Brut y Tywysogion (pp. 69-76), names of fish (pp. 88-91), birds (pp. 93-105), etc., with illustrative quotations from poetry, myth, etc., throughout. Also included are attempts at explaining the origin of the names of rivers and places (pp. 59-68) and the origins of Welsh customs (p. 83), and a Latin-Welsh vocabulary (pp. 77-80).
A composite volume, in the hand of Evan Evans, containing notes on Nennius and Gildas, which include twelve triads in Welsh, copies of letters to Archbishop Ussher from Robert Vaughan, Edward Brownker and Gerard Langbaine, together with extracts from a letter from Archbishop Ussher to William Camden (ff. 1-89); pedigrees of rulers and saints (ff. 92-121, 124-132), with copious notes regarding the sources of the texts; poetry by Guto'r Glyn (f. 122); a copy of a charter of Rhos Fynach, Conwy (ff. 145- 147); etc.
A manuscript in the autograph of Evan Evans (Ieuan Fardd) containing triads (pp. 1-32); poetry, the poets cited including Taliesin, Dafydd ap Gwilym, Siôn Cent and Gruffydd Dwnn (pp. 33-86, 95-102); a list of Welsh holy (saints') days (pp. 87-90); names of Welsh rivers and their sources (pp. 91-94); etc. The volume also contains an appendix in the hand of D[avid] Ellis, [1787x1788]. The section containing triads is apparently left unfinished as most of p. 32 and the whole of p. 33 are blank.

The text of the Life of Gruffydd ap Cynan, including notes, printed in Myvyrian Archaiology of Wales Vol. II, pp. 582-605, is taken wholesale from this manuscript.
A volume in the hand of Evan Evans (Ieuan Fardd) consisting mostly of commentary, by Robert Vaughan, Hengwrt, on Welsh triads, in particular the 'Keyreu'. The views of William Camden on various subjects and places are rebutted, and there are numerous references to, and quotations from, early geographers and historians. The text is apparently left unfinished.

A copy of articles of agreement concluded at Berain, 5 January 1581/2, between Thomas Salesbury of Lleweny and John Wynn of Gwedyr, esquires, and Symon Thelwall, esquire, and Edward Thelwall, his son and heir apparent, touching a double marriage arranged between Edward Thelwall and Katherine Wynne, widow, and between Symon Thelwall, junior, and Jane Wynne, daughter of Maurice Wynne, deceased.
A pamphlet entitled 'The Grievances of the Church in Wales', written in about 1765 (see p. 141) by Evan Evans (Ieuan Fardd). At the end of the volume is 'Tâl Diolch i Dduw am y Bibl yn Gymraeg . circa 1600' by Sir Thomas Johns. This pamphlet is one of considerable importance and throws much light on the history of the English church in Wales in the middle of the eighteenth century. The unquestionable patriotism of the writer, coupled with his criticisms throughout the text, which seem to be based on authenticated facts, point to the probability that the writer is Ieuan Fardd himself.
Two volumes of transcripts, [1758], compiled Evan Evans (Ieuan Fardd), subsequently bound as one volume. Part I (foliated 1-153) contains 'The Gododin an Heroic poem of the sixth Century transcribed from a Copy of Thomas Wiliams of Trefriw M.D., and the Works of Taliessin from Dr Davies of Mallwyd's hand, and other particulars wrote by the Revd Mr. Evan Evans' (f. 1) and includes transcripts of Llyfr Aneirin (ff. 5 verso-36), Llyfr Taliesin (ff. 37-126) and other manuscripts. Part II (foliated 1-73) contains further poetry, by poets including Llywarch Hen, Iolo Goch, Dafydd ab Edmwnd and Gutun Owain (ff. 1-28, 34 verso-47); notes on Welsh orthography (following the cywydd beginning at f. 19); a list of poets from a manuscript of Dr John Davies (f. 39 verso); a copy of Sir Thomas Wiliems's Preface to his Latin-Welsh Dictionary (ff. 48-64); a letter, dated 26 January 1757, from Lewis Morris to 'Mr. Vaughan of Corsygedol' (ff. 65-69); a letter, dated 14 June 1755, from Richard Morris to the same Mr Vaughan, enclosing a copy of the Transactions of the Society of Cymmrodorion and referring to Lewis Morris and to Goronwy Owen (ff. 70-71); and a table of contents for Part I only, [?in the hand of Owain Myfyr] (f. 72).
